Being a person who studied VFX and worked on simulated stunt sequences in university, I have gained a great appreciation of those working behind the curtain. Without their effort, there would be no movie magic.
Now when I recall my childhood, I laugh at the fact that I seriously believed that the movie heroes were superhumans living real lives. However, now, several years after learning and working in the sphere of VFX and design, I understand more, and I am even more impressed.
Stunts are not concerned with loss of lives. They are about imagination, collaboration, and the genius of melding physical performance with digital art. So, the next time you see a really epic battle or impossible leap on screen, know that it’s not just acting—it’s an art, supported by innovation, passion, and precision.
